Auction result misses estimated price range
In August 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work Young lady in Renaissance-style dress at a harpsichord by Walter Duncan for GBP 375.00 (€ 423.50). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Walter Duncan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Beautiful Spectre, which sold at auction in December 2008 for GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,575.44).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne

Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Walter Duncan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Beautiful Spectre beobachtet, die im Dezember 2008 für GBP 1.500,00 (€ 1.575,44) versteigert wurde.
