Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pennsylvania Scene, Easton by Walter Emerson Baum was auctioned at Christies in New York in March 2005. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 16,800.00 (€ 12,953.97) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Walter Emerson Baum - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Pink House, which sold at auction in November 2007 for USD 73,000.00 (€ 49,700.44).
