In December 2007 Christies in London held the auction British & Continental Watercolours & Drawings, which included the work An Angler Fishing On The Stour Before Canterbury Cathedral by Walter Stuart Lloyd. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,358.83), 43% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Walter Stuart Lloyd - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sorting the catch at dusk, Babbacombe Bay, South Devon, which sold at auction in July 2004 for GBP 2,390.00 (€ 3,611.82).

Im Dezember 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion British & Continental Watercolours & Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit An Angler Fishing On The Stour Before Canterbury Cathedral von Walter Stuart Lloyd zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.358,83) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis.
