Sheppard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The naval engagement between the C.S.S. Merrimac and the U.S.S. Monitor at Hampton Road in February 2006 with an auction result of USD 48,000.00 (€ 40,251.57).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 5.250,00 (€ 3.537,50) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 31%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Warren W. Sheppard erzielen.
