Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2001 Christies in London held the auction GERMAN & AUSTRIAN ART, which included the work Gemassigt by Wassily Kandinsky. The price achieved of GBP 245,750.00 (€ 397,167.85) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 220,000.00 – 280,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wassily Kandinsky achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bild Mit Weissen Linien (Painting With White Lines) in June 2017 with an auction result of GBP 33,008,750.00 (€ 37,590,807.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2001 führte Christies in London die Auktion GERMAN & AUSTRIAN ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit Gemassigt von Wassily Kandinsky zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 245.750,00 (€ 397.167,85) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 220.000,00 – 280.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wassily Kandinsky erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bild Mit Weissen Linien (Painting With White Lines) im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 33.008.750,00 (€ 37.590.807,66).
