Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Going Home by Widayat was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2016. It changed hands for a price of HKD 175,000.00 (€ 20,226.76) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 140,000.00 – 180,000.00. Admittedly, works by Widayat have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Terang Bulan Di Rimba (Bright Moon In The Jungle) in October 2015 with an auction result of HKD 1,250,000.00 (€ 146,033.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Going Home von Widayat kam im Mai 2016 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 175.000,00 (€ 20.226,76) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 140.000,00 – 180.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Widayat auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Terang Bulan Di Rimba (Bright Moon In The Jungle) im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.250.000,00 (€ 146.033,33).
