Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In February 2007 Christies in London held the auction The Sunday Sale, which included the work Rushes at the water's edge by Wilfred Williams Ball. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 400.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 420.00 (€ 622.63). Admittedly, works by Wilfred Williams Ball have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work London Bells, the Towers; and Westminster Abbey in September 2001 with an auction result of GBP 2,585.00 (€ 4,173.67).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Februar 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Sunday Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rushes at the water's edge von Wilfred Williams Ball zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 400,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 420,00 (€ 622,63) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wilfred Williams Ball auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit London Bells, the Towers; and Westminster Abbey im September 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.585,00 (€ 4.173,67).
