Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Figures and boats on a beach by Willem Gillisz. Kool was sold in the OLD MASTER PICTURES auction at Christies in London in April 2003. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 5,287.50 (€ 6,889.25) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Willem Gillisz. Kool - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fisherfolk On The Beach of Scheveningen, which sold at auction in May 2006 for EUR 19,200.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Figures and boats on a beach von Willem Gillisz. Kool wurde im April 2003 in der Auktion OLD MASTER PICTURES bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 5.287,50 (€ 6.889,25) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Willem Gillisz. Kool mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fisherfolk On The Beach of Scheveningen beobachtet, die im Mai 2006 für EUR 19.200,00 versteigert wurde.
