In September 2017 Sothebys in New York held the auction The Collection of Edward Albee, which included this untitled work by William Anastasi. The »bidding war« ended at USD 20,000.00 (€ 16,930.50), 67% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Anastasi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled III (Abandoned Painting) in November 2010 with an auction result of USD 242,500.00 (€ 186,023.32).

Im September 2017 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion The Collection of Edward Albee durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von William Anastasi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 16.930,50) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Anastasi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled III (Abandoned Painting) im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 242.500,00 (€ 186.023,32).
