The »bidding war« ended at GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,674.55), 50% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Armstrong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work On the Kaministiquoia River, Lake Superior, which sold at auction in September 2010 for GBP 22,500.00 (€ 26,023.64).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.674,55) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis.
