Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two figure studies (2) by William Dobell was sold in the Elegant InteriorsA Single Collection auction at Bonhams in December last year. The price achieved of AUD 984.00 (€ 625.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Dobell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Australian Opera House, Sydney Harbour in August 2007 with an auction result of AUD 816,000.00 (€ 487,948.98).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Two figure studies (2) von William Dobell wurde im Dezember letzten Jahres in der Auktion Elegant InteriorsA Single Collection bei Bonhams versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 984,00 (€ 625,92) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Dobell erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Australian Opera House, Sydney Harbour im August 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 816.000,00 (€ 487.948,98).
