Auction result well in line with expectations
In September this year Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts held the auction The Fred and Elinor Wrobel Collection Online, which included the work (Nude with Mirror) by William Frater. It changed hands for a price of AUD 861.00 (€ 524.78) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of AUD 600.00 – 900.00. Admittedly, works by William Frater have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Near Trawool in August 2001 with an auction result of AUD 5,640.00 (€ 3,274.18).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts die Auktion The Fred and Elinor Wrobel Collection Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit (Nude with Mirror) von William Frater zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von AUD 861,00 (€ 524,78) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 600,00 – 900,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Frater auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Near Trawool im August 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 5.640,00 (€ 3.274,18).
