The result of GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,404.77) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Hayes achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Drawings of birds, sixty original watercolours, 1791-1792 in May last year with an auction result of GBP 37,800.00 (€ 44,468.10).

Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 2.000,00 (€ 2.404,77) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Hayes erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Drawings of birds, sixty original watercolours, 1791-1792 im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 37.800,00 (€ 44.468,10).
