Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Second rater in the Solent by William Joy was auctioned at Bonhams in London in October this year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 896.00 (€ 1,028.86). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Joy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Dutch galliot and other vessels in calm conditions on a British shoreline in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 8,925.00 (€ 10,573.71).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Second rater in the Solent von William Joy kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 896,00 (€ 1.028,86) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Joy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Dutch galliot and other vessels in calm conditions on a British shoreline im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.925,00 (€ 10.573,71).
