Auction result well in line with expectations

The work Anti Mercator, 2010-2011 by William Kentridge was auctioned at Bonhams in London in September this year. The price achieved of GBP 102,000.00 (€ 102,000.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Kentridge achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Procession in March 2013 with an auction result of USD 1,538,500.00 (€ 1,200,452.56).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Die Arbeit Anti Mercator, 2010-2011 von William Kentridge kam im September diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 102.000,00 (€ 102.000,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Kentridge erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Procession im März 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.538.500,00 (€ 1.200.452,56).
