Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October this year Bonhams in London held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Office Love by William Kentridge. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 120,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 127,400.00 (€ 146,290.59). Admittedly, works by William Kentridge have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Procession in March 2013 with an auction result of USD 1,538,500.00 (€ 1,200,452.56).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Office Love von William Kentridge zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 120.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 127.400,00 (€ 146.290,59) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Kentridge auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Procession im März 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.538.500,00 (€ 1.200.452,56).
