Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work 745 (Phallus spraying spectacles onto ground) by William Pope.L for GBP 2,268.00 (€ 2,705.25). This price was achieved in the auction The Hoarder: Part III at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by William Pope.L have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Eight works: (i) White People are the Beef of the Fire; (ii) White People are Hoi Vuc Vietnam 1965; (iii) White People are my Tears; (iv) Black People are a positive cancer; (v) White People are nice to their I in April 2017 with an auction result of GBP 21,875.00 (€ 25,976.94).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit 745 (Phallus spraying spectacles onto ground) von William Pope.L für GBP 2.268,00 (€ 2.705,25) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Hoarder: Part III bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Pope.L auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Eight works: (i) White People are the Beef of the Fire; (ii) White People are Hoi Vuc Vietnam 1965; (iii) White People are my Tears; (iv) Black People are a positive cancer; (v) White People are nice to their I im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 21.875,00 (€ 25.976,94).
