Admittedly, works by William Webb have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Favorite Hunters of Richard William Penn, 1st Earl Howe (1796-1870), with Gopsall Hall, Leicestershire in the background in October 2011 with an auction result of USD 98,500.00 (€ 70,624.51).

Die Arbeit Peel Castle von William Webb kam im Dezember 2008 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 7.220,75) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 38%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Webb auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Favorite Hunters of Richard William Penn, 1st Earl Howe (1796-1870), with Gopsall Hall, Leicestershire in the background im Oktober 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 98.500,00 (€ 70.624,51).
