Sold at the upper estimate price
The work Signe Géologique by Willy Anthoons was sold in the The Collection of Alexandre and Odile Loewy, Modern Art auction at Sothebys in Paris in March 2010. The auction ended at the price of EUR 1,500.00, which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Willy Anthoons - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sans Titre, 1966, which sold at auction in October 2011 for EUR 4,463.00.
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Signe Géologique von Willy Anthoons wurde im März 2010 in der Auktion The Collection of Alexandre and Odile Loewy, Modern Art bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 1.500,00 entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Willy Anthoons mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sans Titre, 1966 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2011 für EUR 4.463,00 versteigert wurde.
