Auction result well in line with expectations
In December last year Bonhams in Hong Kong held the auction Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art, which included the work Bamboo and Kingfisher by Win Pe. The price achieved of HKD 10,200.00 (€ 1,222.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 6,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Win Pe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Strawberry Seller in May last year with an auction result of HKD 267,600.00 (€ 31,769.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Hong Kong die Auktion Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bamboo and Kingfisher von Win Pe zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 10.200,00 (€ 1.222,32) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 6.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Win Pe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Strawberry Seller im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 267.600,00 (€ 31.769,86).
