Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Wolfgang Tillmans achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in October this year. In the LOVE STORIES - from the collection of Anne & Wolfgang Titze auction, the work Lighter 66 sold for EUR 47,880.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wolfgang Tillmans achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Freischwimmer #84 in June 2017 with an auction result of GBP 605,000.00 (€ 688,982.12).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wolfgang Tillmans erzielte im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion LOVE STORIES - from the collection of Anne & Wolfgang Titze wurde die Arbeit Lighter 66 für EUR 47.880,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wolfgang Tillmans erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Freischwimmer #84 im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 605.000,00 (€ 688.982,12).
