Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Scholar Appreciating Chrysanthemum by Wu Qinmu was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2020. The price achieved of HKD 44,100.00 (€ 4,884.43) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wu Qinmu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Autumn Scenery in November 2017 with an auction result of HKD 475,000.00 (€ 51,140.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Scholar Appreciating Chrysanthemum von Wu Qinmu wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 44.100,00 (€ 4.884,43) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wu Qinmu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Autumn Scenery im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 475.000,00 (€ 51.140,95).
