Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Immortal by Wu Shanming was worth USD 6,000.00 (€ 5,095.97) to a buyer in July 2020. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Paintings at Christies in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 1,900.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wu Shanming achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Yellow River Morning Song in June 2015 with an auction result of CNY 566,400.00 (€ 81,908.12).

Die Arbeit Immortal von Wu Shanming war einem Käufer im Juli 2020 USD 6.000,00 (€ 5.095,97) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Christies in New York erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.900,00 um ein Vielfaches. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wu Shanming erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Yellow River Morning Song im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 566.400,00 (€ 81.908,12).
