Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lady Picking Tea Leaves by Wu Shanming was auctioned at POLY in January 2024. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 5,000.00 – 10,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 6,000.00 (€ 921.87) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wu Shanming achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Yellow River Morning Song in June 2015 with an auction result of CNY 566,400.00 (€ 81,908.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Lady Picking Tea Leaves von Wu Shanming kam im Januar 2024 bei POLY zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 5.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 6.000,00 (€ 921,87) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wu Shanming erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Yellow River Morning Song im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 566.400,00 (€ 81.908,12).
