This artwork by Xue Song achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in June 2021. In the Contemporary Curated: Asia | JAY CHOU x SOTHEBY’S | Day Sale auction, the work Stronger Than an Army, a Western sold for HKD 504,000.00 (€ 54,747.47) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 200,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Xue Song - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Rivers and Mountains After Snow—A Tribute to Wang Wei, which sold at auction in September this year for CNY 1,260,000.00 (€ 163,095.24).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Xue Song erzielte im Juni 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Curated: Asia | JAY CHOU x SOTHEBY’S | Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Stronger Than an Army, a Western für HKD 504.000,00 (€ 54.747,47) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 200.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Xue Song mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Rivers and Mountains After Snow—A Tribute to Wang Wei beobachtet, die im September diesen Jahres für CNY 1.260.000,00 (€ 163.095,24) versteigert wurde.
