In November 2016 Christies in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Al Perkins Drying Fish by Yasuo Kuniyoshi. The »bidding war« ended at USD 100,000.00 (€ 94,535.83), 67% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yasuo Kuniyoshi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Boy With Cow, which sold at auction in November 2016 for USD 271,500.00 (€ 256,664.78).

Im November 2016 führte Christies in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Al Perkins Drying Fish von Yasuo Kuniyoshi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 100.000,00 (€ 94.535,83) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Yasuo Kuniyoshi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Boy With Cow beobachtet, die im November 2016 für USD 271.500,00 (€ 256.664,78) versteigert wurde.
