Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Infinity-Nets AOTWX by Yayoi Kusama was auctioned at Christies in London in October this year. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 3,000,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 3,065,000.00. Admittedly, works by Yayoi Kusama have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pumpkin in April this year with an auction result of HKD 30,000,000.00 (€ 30,635,869.57).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Infinity-Nets AOTWX von Yayoi Kusama kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 3.000.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 3.065.000,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Yayoi Kusama auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pumpkin im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 30.000.000,00 (€ 30.635.869,57).
