Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sculpture éponge rose sans titre, (SE 207) by Yves Klein was sold in the 20th/21st Century: Paris Evening Sale auction at Christies in Paris in June last year. The price achieved of EUR 2,022,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,600,000.00 – 2,200,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yves Klein achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Anthropométrie de l’époque bleue, (ANT 124) (Anthropometry of the Blue Period), (ANT 124)) in June last year with an auction result of GBP 27,197,000.00 (€ 31,595,177.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sculpture éponge rose sans titre, (SE 207) von Yves Klein wurde im Juni letzten Jahres in der Auktion 20th/21st Century: Paris Evening Sale bei Christies in Paris versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 2.022.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.600.000,00 – 2.200.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yves Klein erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Anthropométrie de l’époque bleue, (ANT 124) (Anthropometry of the Blue Period), (ANT 124)) im Juni letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 27.197.000,00 (€ 31.595.177,57).
