This artwork by Zenzaburo Kojima achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2011. In the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction, the work Chrysanthemum sold for HKD 1,940,000.00 (€ 185,592.80) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 850,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Zenzaburo Kojima; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Red Background (Nude) sold at auction in May this year with the realized price of HKD 2,142,000.00 (€ 256,742.44).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zenzaburo Kojima erzielte im November 2011 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) wurde die Arbeit Chrysanthemum für HKD 1.940.000,00 (€ 185.592,80) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 850.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Zenzaburo Kojima; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Red Background (Nude) im Mai diesen Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 2.142.000,00 (€ 256.742,44).
