In April 2017 POLY in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy II, which included the work Calligraphy by Zhang Boju. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 200,600.00 (€ 23,677.98), 67% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Zhang Boju have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Orchid in October 2018 with an auction result of HKD 1,888,000.00 (€ 212,591.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 67 % übertroffen
Im April 2017 führte POLY in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy von Zhang Boju zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 200.600,00 (€ 23.677,98) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhang Boju auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Orchid im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.888.000,00 (€ 212.591,60).
