This artwork by Zhang Boju achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Hong Kong in April 2019. In the Chinese Paintingsonline only auction, the work Orchids sold for HKD 35,625.00 (€ 4,055.16) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhang Boju achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Orchid in October 2018 with an auction result of HKD 1,888,000.00 (€ 212,591.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 78 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhang Boju erzielte im April 2019 bei Bonhams in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Chinese Paintingsonline only wurde die Arbeit Orchids für HKD 35.625,00 (€ 4.055,16) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhang Boju erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Orchid im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.888.000,00 (€ 212.591,60).
