This artwork by Zao Wou-Ki achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in April 2004. In the 20TH CENTURY CHINESE ART auction, the work Abstract Landscape sold for HKD 382,400.00 (€ 24,822.12) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zao Wou-Ki achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 29.09.64. in May last year with an auction result of HKD 278,000,000.00 (€ 33,004,566.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zao Wou-Ki erzielte im April 2004 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20TH CENTURY CHINESE ART wurde die Arbeit Abstract Landscape für HKD 382.400,00 (€ 24.822,12) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 150.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zao Wou-Ki erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 29.09.64. im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 278.000.000,00 (€ 33.004.566,21).
