In October 2016 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Asian Art, which included the work Fat Man In The Flowers by Zhou Yilun. The result of HKD 150,000.00 (€ 17,651.89) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Other works by Zhou Yilun have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2015 the work Beautiful Outer Space was auctioned for HKD 225,000.00 (€ 27,480.59).

Im Oktober 2016 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fat Man In The Flowers von Zhou Yilun zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 150.000,00 (€ 17.651,89) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Zhou Yilun konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November 2015 die Arbeit Beautiful Outer Space für HKD 225.000,00 (€ 27.480,59) versteigert.
