This artwork by Zhu Sheng achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2016. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Bamboo under the Moonlight sold for HKD 400,000.00 (€ 48,742.67) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 200,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Zhu Sheng; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Ink Bamboo sold at auction in May 2018 with the realized price of HKD 525,000.00 (€ 57,358.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhu Sheng erzielte im November 2016 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Bamboo under the Moonlight für HKD 400.000,00 (€ 48.742,67) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 200.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Zhu Sheng; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Ink Bamboo im Mai 2018 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 525.000,00 (€ 57.358,61).
