KIM KLUGE – INTERNATIONAL CONTEMPORARY ARTIST – CONCEPTUAL INTERMEDIAL ART
Kim Kluge has been working as a freelance visual artist since completing her master's degree with Walter Dahn (Beuys). Born in Hanover, she moved to her new adopted home of Cologne/Bonn in 2000 due to the multicultural and creative climate. Kim Kluge works in multimedia. At the core of her work are abstract, structural questions and the combination of analogue and digital design possibilities as well as sociological aspects. Her artistic approaches claim a change in social perspective and transformation by visualising unusual ways of looking at things.

From felt to digital image processing: the intermedia painter Kim Kluge combines digital and analog design possibilities to develop a new technique, painting with a felting needle. She is currently working on a series of large-format graphite drawings. Art.Salon interviewed the artist about her work.
