This artwork by Alan Uglow achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in July 2014. In the Forms in Color auction, the work Barcode #1 sold for USD 8,125.00 (€ 6,067.96) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alan Uglow have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Standard #23 (Grey) in March 2020 with an auction result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 45,335.03).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Alan Uglow erzielte im Juli 2014 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Forms in Color wurde die Arbeit Barcode #1 für USD 8.125,00 (€ 6.067,96) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alan Uglow auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Standard #23 (Grey) im März 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 45.335,03).
