The »bidding war« ended at EUR 6,816.00 36% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Albert-Gabriel Rigolot achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Villagers in the Desert in October 2005 with an auction result of USD 120,000.00 (€ 100,041.68).

Die Arbeit Paysage A L'Etang von Albert-Gabriel Rigolot wurde im Dezember 2007 in der Auktion Old Master and 19th Century Paintings bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 6.816,00 und damit 36% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Albert-Gabriel Rigolot erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Villagers in the Desert im Oktober 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 120.000,00 (€ 100.041,68).
