It achieved a price of GBP 51,200.00 (€ 59,587.99), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 46%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Albert Oehlen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Stier mit loch (Bull with hole) in October 2018 with an auction result of GBP 3,608,750.00 (€ 4,069,556.68).

Die Arbeit Das Eisen war noch heiss von Albert Oehlen kam im Juni diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 51.200,00 (€ 59.587,99) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 46%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Albert Oehlen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Stier mit loch (Bull with hole) im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.608.750,00 (€ 4.069.556,68).
