In November 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century Art: A Different Perspective, which included the work In Memoriam Josef Albers by András Mengyán. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 13,860.00 (€ 15,472.44), 73% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by András Mengyán; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Logic of Forms (Permutation of Three Unit Forms in Plane without Repetition) sold at auction in April last year with the realized price of EUR 23,940.00.

Im November 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 20th Century Art: A Different Perspective durch, in der auch die Arbeit In Memoriam Josef Albers von András Mengyán zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 13.860,00 (€ 15.472,44) und damit 73% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von András Mengyán; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Logic of Forms (Permutation of Three Unit Forms in Plane without Repetition) im April letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 23.940,00.
