In December 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Modern Art | New York, which included the work Le Grand ciel rose by André Brasilier. The »bidding war« ended at USD 81,900.00 (€ 72,362.61), 64% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by André Brasilier have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Grande chevauchée du lac en automne in April last year with an auction result of HKD 3,780,000.00 (€ 457,029.52).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 64 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Modern Art | New York durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le Grand ciel rose von André Brasilier zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 81.900,00 (€ 72.362,61) und damit 64% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von André Brasilier auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Grande chevauchée du lac en automne im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.780.000,00 (€ 457.029,52).
