This artwork by André de Dienes achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in February 2007. In the Photographs From The Estate of Thomas T. Solley auction, the work Central Park South (After a Snowfall), New York City, c. 1948; Constitutional, 1947 sold for USD 7,800.00 (€ 5,895.69) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by André de Dienes - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Marilyn Monroe, Tobey Beach, 1949, which sold at auction in December 2008 for USD 20,000.00 (€ 14,368.85).

Für andere Arbeiten von André de Dienes mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Marilyn Monroe, Tobey Beach, 1949 beobachtet, die im Dezember 2008 für USD 20.000,00 (€ 14.368,85) versteigert wurde.
