This artwork by André Lhote achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March 2017. In the Impressionist and Modern Art auction, the work Le Port de Bordeaux sold for GBP 11,250.00 (€ 13,183.89) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by André Lhote achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La danse au bar (Gypsy Bar) in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 2,729,000.00 (€ 1,857,979.30).

Dieses Kunstwerk von André Lhote erzielte im März 2017 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art wurde die Arbeit Le Port de Bordeaux für GBP 11.250,00 (€ 13.183,89) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von André Lhote erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La danse au bar (Gypsy Bar) im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.729.000,00 (€ 1.857.979,30).
