Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 'Heaven And Hell' by Andres Serrano was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2007. The price achieved of USD 23,750.00 (€ 16,415.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andres Serrano achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Piss Christ in November 2011 with an auction result of USD 314,500.00 (€ 233,776.85).

Die Arbeit 'Heaven And Hell' von Andres Serrano kam im Oktober 2007 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 23.750,00 (€ 16.415,54) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Andres Serrano erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Piss Christ im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 314.500,00 (€ 233.776,85).
