The work Padre Giuseppe, Venice (The Church) by Andres Serrano was auctioned at Christies in Paris in December 2017. The result of EUR 10,000.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andres Serrano achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Piss Christ in November 2011 with an auction result of USD 314,500.00 (€ 233,776.85).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Padre Giuseppe, Venice (The Church) von Andres Serrano kam im Dezember 2017 bei Christies in Paris zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 10.000,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Andres Serrano erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Piss Christ im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 314.500,00 (€ 233.776,85).
