Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2005 Christies in London held the auction PHOTOGRAPHS, which included the work Clearing Winter Storm, Yosemite National Park, C.1944 by Ansel Adams. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 20,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 22,800.00 (€ 33,496.08). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ansel Adams achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Grand Tetons and the Snake River, Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming in December 2020 with an auction result of USD 988,000.00 (€ 807,849.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion PHOTOGRAPHS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Clearing Winter Storm, Yosemite National Park, C.1944 von Ansel Adams zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 20.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 22.800,00 (€ 33.496,08) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ansel Adams erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Grand Tetons and the Snake River, Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 988.000,00 (€ 807.849,55).
