Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Hercules am Scheideweg (Herakles at the crossroads) by Anselm Kiefer was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in June 2021. The price achieved of EUR 351,300.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. Admittedly, works by Anselm Kiefer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Für Velimir Khlebnikov: Die Lehre vom Krieg: Seeschlachten in June 2016 with an auction result of GBP 2,389,000.00 (€ 2,867,579.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Hercules am Scheideweg (Herakles at the crossroads) von Anselm Kiefer kam im Juni 2021 bei Sothebys in Paris zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 351.300,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 300.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Anselm Kiefer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Für Velimir Khlebnikov: Die Lehre vom Krieg: Seeschlachten im Juni 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.389.000,00 (€ 2.867.579,59).
