Despite a disappointment, a good price for Antoine D'Agata
When the work No Title (Japan), Série Situation 2004 by Antoine D'Agata was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in July 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 13,860.00 (€ 1,502.36). Despite this disappointing result, No Title (Japan), Série Situation 2004 is the most expensive artwork by Antoine D'Agata that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Antoine D'Agata
Als die Arbeit No Title (Japan), Série Situation 2004 von Antoine D'Agata im Juli 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 13.860,00 (€ 1.502,36) den Besitzer.
