Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Artcurial in Marrakech held the auction A Moroccan Spring, which included the work Vue Du Port D'Alger by Antoine Léon Morel-Fatio. It changed hands for a price of MAD 393,600.00 (€ 39,246.30) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of MAD 300,000.00 – 400,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Antoine Léon Morel-Fatio - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Prise À L'Abordage Du Transport Anglais Les Deux-Jumeaux Par L'Heureuse-Tonton, Dans La Baltique, En 1813, which sold at auction in November 2015 for EUR 86,120.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Artcurial in Marrakesch die Auktion A Moroccan Spring durch, in der auch die Arbeit Vue Du Port D'Alger von Antoine Léon Morel-Fatio zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von MAD 393.600,00 (€ 39.246,30) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von MAD 300.000,00 – 400.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Antoine Léon Morel-Fatio mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Prise À L'Abordage Du Transport Anglais Les Deux-Jumeaux Par L'Heureuse-Tonton, Dans La Baltique, En 1813 beobachtet, die im November 2015 für EUR 86.120,00 versteigert wurde.
