This artwork by Anton Otto Fischer achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts in September last year. In the American Works of Art auction, the work Yacht Race sold for USD 3,187.50 (€ 3,258.20) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anton Otto Fischer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Great Armada, which sold at auction in October 2000 for USD 10,575.00 (€ 12,461.70).

In der Auktion American Works of Art wurde die Arbeit Yacht Race für USD 3.187,50 (€ 3.258,20) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Anton Otto Fischer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Great Armada beobachtet, die im Oktober 2000 für USD 10.575,00 (€ 12.461,70) versteigert wurde.
