This work of art by Anton Otto Fischer could be acquired at Christies in New York in January 2009 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Maritime Decorative Arts auction, the work Inchcliff Castle changed hands for USD 3,750.00 (€ 2,928.77) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Anton Otto Fischer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Great Armada in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 10,575.00 (€ 12,461.70).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Anton Otto Fischer konnte im Januar 2009 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Maritime Decorative Arts wechselte die Arbeit Inchcliff Castle für USD 3.750,00 (€ 2.928,77) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Anton Otto Fischer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Great Armada im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 10.575,00 (€ 12.461,70).
